Saint-Jorioz-Cols Foclaz-Croix Fry-Aravis 105km-2100m

Very beautiful and challenging route over 3 cols. The Col de la Forclaz from the south is tough (many sections between 10 and 12+%) but very scenic with a magnificent view of Lake Annecy from the col. The Col de la Croix Fry from Thônes is very rideable but in the middle part there are sections of 10-12+%. Very beautiful scenery and relatively little traffic. Quite the opposite of the Col des Aravis - lots of motorcycles and cars - at the col it feels like a funfair atmosphere. But I had a magnificent view of Mont Blanc and it's a great, long descent to Ugine.

It's best to start early in the morning to avoid traffic and possibly the heat.
