Starting point is the (alleged) gravel lot at the intersection of Middlebook Road/Rte 252 and Cherry Grove Road/Rte 670.

The route is a bowtie in two loops. For the first loop, exit right from the parking area onto Middlebrook Road and then turn left onto Mish Barn Road. For the second loop, exit right from the parking area onto Middlebook Road and continue on that road until Howardsville Road.
