Bernau Urlaub Tour 3 "Fünf Almen/Chiemseeausblicke"

The mountain bike tour 'Five Alms/Chiemsee Views' offers both - high performance and relaxation at five alpine pastures and inns, some open year-round, others only in summer, showcasing the most beautiful views of the Chiemsee at several prominent points.

The tour starts at the hotel 'Alter Wirt', Kirchplatz 9 in Bernau.

Route description: After a short detour from the Bergham water tower, the route continues as follows: Kraimoos, Rudersberg, towards Adersberg, Vorderalm, Weißenalm, Maisalm, Sameralm, Herrenalm, Seiseralm. After some steeper climbs, it leads to the Hittenkirchen 'Chiemseeblick' viewpoint. Via Urschalling, there is a rapid descent to the Chiemsee shore. Then we cycle along the lakeshore parallel to the A8 motorway towards Seethal. We cross the A8 and ride along the shore of the Chiemsee towards Westerbuchberg. Along the railway tracks heading towards Bernau, about halfway along the route, we reach the nature reserve and old peat station, where the Moor and Peat Museum is located, bringing us closer to the landscape through which we ride.
