One of the many routes in Monferrato, starting from Alessandria on a stretch of bike path until the Tanaro. After that you arrive in front of the Borsalino sanatorium where there are fields, then you reach San Salvatore Monferrato; from here the road is definitely hilly, you cross Lu, Cuccaro Monferrato, and Quargnento, and you arrive in Alessandria. Numerous villages to visit: San Salvatore with its tower from which you can enjoy an excellent view of Monferrato and the Alps, Quargnento, the birthplace of Carlo Carrà, a painter, and in Alessandria the citadel and the town center. Little traffic on the roads except from San Michele to Alessandria, which is very busy.
