The approach to Sancerre is partly relatively steep, and a short stretch behind Menetreol to Clos des Roches is a poor gravel road. If you want to avoid that, you should turn right in Menetreol onto the green-marked path and continue to Sancerre.

Sancerre itself is beautiful but narrow. And there are many tourists there. You can tell by the prices in the restaurants.

The previously located wine village Pouilly-sur-Loire is significantly less frequented, but of course, it is also by no means as beautiful. However, the wine there is similarly good.
