Traseul cicloturistic al Unitatii Nationale

<p><em>The NATIONAL UNIT ROUTE 1848-1918-1922</em> represents an opportunity for awareness and promotion of the cultural and historical values of the Romanian people. It travels about 150 km through Alba County and includes both historical and legendary sites related to significant historical events for both Romania and Alba County, as well as tourist attractions that complement the spiritual route and offer tourists a diversified experience. <em>Alba County</em> <em>is a county</em> full of important and well-preserved historical monuments, remnants of its millennial past, a starting point for many other interesting destinations.</p> <p>Although the moments of 1848, 1918, and 1922 can be approached individually, they are parts of a well-rounded historical process concerning the political and social emancipation of the Romanians in Transylvania. The NATIONAL UNIT ROUTE 1848 – 1918 – 1922, Blaj – Sîntimbru – Alba Iulia – Zlatna – Abrud – Câmpeni – Avram Iancu, contains a series of first-rate objectives relevant to the mentioned moments.</p> <p>If Alba Iulia is the city of Unity and Coronation, the other localities are of utmost importance for the Revolution of 1848-1849, without excluding their later contribution in preparing for the Union of 1918. There are numerous objectives and museum collections, places of memory, public monuments that facilitate visitors' contact with history and the full understanding of the mentioned process.</p> <p>The Route of National Unity initially established at the County level of Alba will later be integrated into the route Bucharest-Alba Iulia-Suceava-Iasi, which will extend at the national level the projection of some essential places of memory for Romanian national development, structured around the moments of 1848-1918-1922.</p>
