Dwars door de Veluwe

The route goes clockwise and starts from the parking lot near Landal Rabbit Hill. First, you cycle mostly on separate cycle paths to the hamlet of Assel and climb towards Hoog-Buurlo. Via narrow separate asphalted cycle paths and main roads you head towards Beekbergen over slightly hilly terrain. Then you follow the asphalted towpath for kilometers along the eastern bank of the Apeldoornsch Canal. At Laag-Soeren, you leave the canal to cycle to the hill zone of the Veluwezoom, with the ascent of the Schaapsallee. Then you briefly leave the Veluwezoom to cycle several kilometers through the floodplains of the IJssel and along the IJssel. After that, you dive back into the Veluwezoom with the climbs of:- Holleweg Veluwezoom,- Zijpenberg-South,- Emmapiramide-East,- Boerenallee. At the foot of the Boerenallee climb, you cycle past Rosendael Castle. Via concrete cycle paths, you cycle through the Veluwe towards the De Hoge Veluwe National Park. You follow the main road along the park on the east side. Towards Kootwijk, you cycle via narrow asphalted cycle paths over the Buurlosche Heide and pass a sand drift and the impressive building of Radio Kootwijk. Then you have a few kilometers left to the endpoint.
