Since Beaujolais has been classified as a UNESCO GEOPARK since April 2018, sites have been highlighted that allow an approach to the full diversity of Beaujolais geology. The Green Beaujolais, around the Col des Écharmeaux, can proudly count no fewer than 5! On this loop starting from the Col des Écharmeaux, you will pass or approach 5 "geosites" of the Beaujolais GEOPARK. Discover their characteristics by consulting the tourist points of interest related to this circuit: - Geosite of the 3 rocks including the Roche d'Ajoux, - Geosite of Mont St Rigaud, - "Mysterious" geosite rich in biodiversity, - Geosite of the Tourvéon, - Geosite of the Monneries wetland area. - And then, the site of the Col des Écharmeaux, whose geographical and geological positioning and history are closely linked to Beaujolais winegrowing!
