Die Alpenpanorama-Route ist mit 7.900 Höhenmetern die schwerste aller neun komplett beschilderten nationalen Velostrecken der Schweiz. Bis auf wenige Abschnitte genießt man unterwegs stets Asphaltwege. An manchen Stellen radelt man länger auf der Straße.
