Alcúdia - Cala Mesquida und zurück

Cala Mesquida is, in my opinion, the most beautiful beach on the island - however, I've only ever been there in bad weather. I fear that in sunshine it gets extremely crowded... The road between Alcúdia and Artà is not particularly pleasant; there is mostly a fairly wide shoulder, but also quite a lot of traffic. Artà is suitable for a lunch break. Unlike many coastal towns, it is a 'real' place with an old town featuring a pedestrian zone where there are a few cafés and also a small supermarket. So you can buy food there at a good price and then relax (and less expensively) with a coffee or a beer and eat something warm. A few kilometers west of Artà, there is even a rather decent (and, since the road is straight, quite unpleasant) ramp for a flat ride.
