About This Route

This is a fairly easy bike ride in South Oxfordshire. Starting in the market town of Abingdon, this route visits the village of Sunningwell, before heading west to the village of Appleton, via Hitchcopse Pit (a local nature reserve). After Appleton, the route follows tracks and paths above the River Thames before reaching Netherton and Fyfield. A short section on-road leads back to Hitchopse Pit, from where the route returns to Abingdon via Gozzard's Ford.
