BASIC RULES:

On the road, it is mandatory to keep a single line and follow traffic rules. In less busy rural areas, it is possible to ride in two lines, but it is important to keep the group compact. We do not overtake unnecessarily, do not compete, and do not ride side by side! Exceptions are allowed on climbs or in areas without motor traffic.

ON ROAD RIDES: maintain the direction and a steady pedaling cadence. It is important for the rider behind you to trust staying in your wheel knowing that you won't make sudden moves, slow down, or brake. Trust that the cyclist in front of you will also not stop abruptly without warning.

We will ride at a steady speed comfortable for all participants. If you feel tired and cannot pedal consistently, stay towards the back and inform your teammate behind to keep distance.

THE GROUP'S OBJECTIVE is usually to ride together, and it is good for each rider to pedal close to their limit but not beyond. This is an amateur ride, so there is no time or performance target to establish rankings other than the distance to be covered.

The pace should be relaxed, without a speed limit, but adapted to the pedaling style of all participants. WE LEAVE TOGETHER AND RETURN TOGETHER.

ABANDON? At any time, we have thought about it. There is no shame in falling behind or even quitting if you feel you cannot continue and want to return, but before doing so, it is good to inform the organizer or someone.

Attacks and going far ahead are a bad idea and will often ANNOY other group members because they put everyone in danger and waste energy needlessly.

There will be uphill sections, so you have the opportunity to push yourself on climbs.

COMMUNICATE IF YOU HAVE PROBLEMS: in case of issues that may affect any participant (mechanical failure, unexpected event...), WE WILL ALL STOP. If a problem arises and you are shy, do not stay alone behind. Whatever the problem or if you have a flat tire, be humble and ask for help if you are inexperienced. Some of us are experienced mechanics who can change a tire in a few tens of seconds, and their help is invaluable for all, saving valuable time for all group members. It is important to have people around you you can rely on and who are willing to help if needed.
