Sulzbach - Käppele - Teufelsmühle - Schweizerkopf Hütte - Gaistal - Bad Herrenalb - Sulbach CLONED FROM ROUTE 712015

The MTB tour starts at the Sulzbach gymnasium. Following the village road, you initially ride on the roadway, later climbing on forest paths through meadows and mixed forest towards Käppele. There, you cross the country road and continue on a forest path/cycle path around the Aizenberg. At a forest intersection, you then continue on a paved forest road steadily uphill towards Teufelsmühle. Just before reaching Teufelsmühle, you leave the road and turn left onto a forest path. From here on, it continues more or less flat. A glance to the left rewards you with a wonderful view towards Bad Herrenalb and beyond. At the next fork, you roll left downhill on the Black Forest High Trail. From this fork, after about 1.4 km of descent, you turn right onto a climb that you must not overlook in the rush of the descent. Once you've conquered the climb, you will be rewarded during a descent with the most beautiful views. At the Schweizerkopf hut, a brief stop is worthwhile as you can see far on clear days to the Philippsburg nuclear power plant in the north and the Rhine in the southwest. Enjoying the descent, you roll towards Gaistal, which somehow reminds you a bit of Allgäu with its meadows and cows. Passing through Bad Herrenalb, you then climb again towards Bernstein and descend back to Sulzbach.
