RUTA GUIA - AGAETE

This is a mixed and circular route, where dirt predominates. At first, it starts off very hard, so it is advised to do warm-up and intensive stretching, as the incline in the first kilometers is at least 15%. That said, it is on asphalt. Once the mountain is crowned, it smoothens out and is more bearable until reaching the descent, very technical, only for the initiated, but it can be walked down. Then it’s asphalt until Saucillo, where the most fun part arrives, a trail to go full throttle all you want downhill. The next segment is practically cross-country, since it is little used and one has to improvise, but at some points, the old path can be seen, there is also a very technical part. It takes us to the upper part of Agaete, and we turn right, I didn’t go down to the village. Watch for the detour when going along the firm-surfaced road, it’s right next to the bus stop. We reach the road to Caideros, at the beginning, and return passing behind the houses and crossing the overpass, then through the industrial area, San Isidro, and the village of Galdar. From there the return is purely on asphalt to the starting point.
