Steyr - Grünburger Hütte - Steyr

As with all routes, we start at Steyr City Square. Through the narrow passage, we cross the bridge and the canal towards Unterhimmel. Passing Tinsting (past Fritz's bowling alley), we continue on the right side of the Steyr until we reach Steinbach. (Cycle path R7) In Steinbach, you ride through the village, up the steep ramp. The first hurdle... We continue until the bridge at Haunoldmühle. Don’t cross! Now we go along the federal road towards Molln. After a few kilometers, we turn left. The way is marked. Now we can finally look forward to the ascent to the Grünburgerhütte. Left at Pfaffenboden, and you already receive your menu. (Beer + farmers' Krapfen). Now we return through Trattenbach and the Enns Valley. You just need to turn left at Pfaffenboden. On the descent, you can confidently take any shortcuts you find. All roads lead to Trattenbach. On the return trip, leave Ternberg to the right and stay on the left side of the Enns until the junction at Rieglwirt, just before Sand. Pass by Rieglwirt, down into the "Hölle", and out to Garsten. On the bike path, you can easily return. Beer as a reward is available at the city square.
