The ride starts in Diksmuide and goes through a stretch of swampy land towards Koekelare, where the climb of the Ruidenberg awaits. In Kortemark, you return to the Krekedal valley, and on the way back you cycle past several charming, sleepy villages such as Werken, Houthulst, and Klerken.
