Feierabendrunde ins Bergische Land

Start and finish at the chapel in Kalk. Via Vingst and Ostheim to Rath. Through the Königsforst to Forsbach, in Forsbach turn left onto Hoffnungsthaler Straße. Steep, winding descent to Hoffnungsthal, caution! From the main road into Rotdornallee and after the swimming pool turn left to Bleifeld. In Bleifeld turn right to Durbusch, then at the top turn left towards Hohkeppel. Always straight on to Hohkeppel, there take the narrow street right by the church. Over Hohbusch to Wüstenhof and down to Klespe. Follow the somewhat busier L299 to Lindlar. At the church in Lindlar, turn back via Pollerhofstraße towards Schmitzhöhe, always straight ahead. From Schmitzhöhe continue straight to Brombach, nice descent, at the bottom keep in direction Obersteeg and Cologne. After Immekeppel turn right into Schmitzbüchel street. Always uphill to Moitzfeld, there left to Bensberg. At the castle left down to the ice rink (Saaler Str.), then straight on towards Refrath. In Dellbrück left into Mauspfad and shortly after right into Mielenforster Kirchweg. Follow this to Merheim, turn left on Ostheimer Str., follow to Kratzweg, then right in. At the Kalker Friedhof subway station turn right onto Olpener and through Höhenberg back to the chapel in Kalk.

Surface/climb: Gravel through Königsforst, otherwise mostly lightly trafficked asphalt roads. Climbs to Forsbach (moderate), Bleifeld (partly over 10%), Schmitzhöhe (moderate) and at the end of Schmitzbüchel steeply up to Moitzfeld (hard). Descent from Bensberg castle over Re... (text ends here)
