Desde Cañamares resistir la tentación de seguir la dirección que indica (55km. a Cuenca), pues tenemos por delante una de las etapas más bonitas del recorrido.
Remontamos el río Escabas y las hoces que ha formado. Larga subida acompañada de avellanos, álamos y el omnipresente pino.
Varias áreas de picnic durante la ascensión.
¡Ojo al llegar al alto (1400m)! Lejos de encontrar un descenso puro... falsos llanos hasta las Majadas. Después de este último pueblo, larga bajada hasta Villalba.
Importante!!! Durante la etapa no hay muchos pueblos donde avituallarse.
