Welcome to the beautiful South Limburg, specifically the municipality of Maastricht. This city really needs no further introduction. There is plenty to discover and admire. The surrounding countryside is also undoubtedly well worth exploring. This route is a nice walk through an area managed by Natuurmonumenten. You will climb the Sint-Pietersberg, discover Fort Sint-Pieter, and enjoy a beautiful view over the Meuse. The route starts at chalet Bergrust and is approximately 4.5 km long. Here you can also get a nice cup of coffee, and parking is within walking distance. The route is waymarked with signs featuring a green picture.
