IJsselmeer Radtour Tag 2 und 3 - Von Herrhugowaard nach Hoorn

On the 2nd day, we rode from Herrhugowaard to Hoorn via Volendam. Thanks to our unintended overnight stay, we could enjoy a ride along canals, meadows, and windmills to Volendam. Although Volendam is a lovely little town, it was overrun by many tourists due to the nice weather. We took a break at the harbor. Then we continued along a dam to Hoorn. Unfortunately, we couldn't see the IJsselmeer during the ride due to the dam. But the farmlands and meadows were also worth a look... By the way, the Dutch seem to have a weakness for American classic cars. During our ride, we were able to admire a few. On the 3rd day, we treated ourselves well. We explored the harbor and downtown Hoorn on foot. We particularly liked the harbor. Then we took a short tour on the tandem. We purchased panniers for the Lowrider on the front wheel. Our three panniers are bursting at the seams. Jutta would now say that my electronic stuff is to blame. But I tend to think it’s more about too much food and drink. But we could have a flat tire inland… Now we don’t have to painstakingly search for our food or jackets from the rear panniers at every stop. The 'small items' for the road are now always stored in the Lowrider bags. Overall, it was a very relaxing day...
