About This Route

This route takes you from downtown St. Marys to the St. Marys Memorial High School via the old New York Central right of way. The city maintains an unpaved grass path from downtown to Oil Street which can be used to bypass the busy roadways. This route may be more difficult since the path is unpaved, especially in bad weather.

There is an old railroad bridge here which goes over the Miami Erie Canal. This provides a nice view and good photo opportunity. Do be careful, although this bridge should be maintained by the city, it may still have openings.
