Monforte D'Alba - Cissone

From Ca Brusa, turn right and follow SP57 to Monciero. Ride through the town, turn left and follow SP661 past a gas station. Turn left onto Strada Santa Lucia (the fifth exit after Monciero).

At a sharp bend, continue on Borgata Santa Lucia. After passing a farm building and reaching a junction, turn sharply right and continue on Borgata Santa Lucia, then take the next left; Borgata Santa Lucia continues and automatically becomes Strada Santa Lucia. Follow the road until you reach a larger road (Via Torino). Turn left and ride on Via Torino to a roundabout. Take the right at the roundabout onto Via Louise Chabat through the town of Dogliani. Here we can stop for a drink.

Pass a major road Via Guglielmo Marconi, take the second right, left onto Via Corte, right again onto Via Salitala al Castello.

Leave the village via Strada statale 661, continue on Strada provinciale 9. Turn left onto a smaller road past a farm, a winding road past several small farms, Borgata Gombe. Ride through a small village where honey is made at L'Amel ëd Nico. Take a left at a sharp bend. Continue straight until you reach a V-shaped 3-way junction, choose the middle road, follow the gravel/mud road to a larger road, turn left and immediately right onto Borgata Consale. Ride a short distance and take the next right onto a forest road, via Bricco Pomo. Turn left and then left again onto a larger road SP661 and follow it all the way to Murazzano. Here we can have lunch at Trattoria da Lele. Enter at a roundabout onto Via Roma and exit via L Bruno. At the roundabout, go all the way around and take the last right (possibly the fourth) onto Via Rea Sottana. Now the real climb begins. Continue on Via Rea Sottana, at the V-junction keep right. Keep pushing straight ahead, a steep climb. Turn left after a twisting road. Continue straight, turn left towards Bonvicinio. Upon reaching SP 32 take a short right, then make a sharp left at a blue sign and a tall wall. Follow the road uphill, round two houses first on the right then on the left into Frazione Rossi. Follow the road, do not deviate. At the V-junction keep right, at the second V-junction keep right again shortly back onto SP32. Turn left and follow SP32 until you reach a V-junction (by a building) keep right onto Localita Bicocca, follow the road keeping left and join SP32 after a short stretch in Localita Giordnai Binelli. On the right side you will see a church building and you are now in Bossolasco. At the end of the village keep right at the V-junction, just after the Locanda del Camino restaurant turn into Bossolasco Niella Belbo and then left onto Corso Paolo della Valle. Go straight through the roundabout. Continue on SP32 Via Alba, pass a cheese shop and a factory on the right side. Continue and then turn left at a tyre sign / Masserie onto Frazione Pratonoero. Follow the road which becomes Localita Frati Pezzea and keep right at the V-junction, turn towards Localita Brullo. Follow the road, sharp right turn, then left turn, sharp left turn after a few houses and a small wall, Località Boeri. Cross a small bridge and turn right onto a bigger road SP187. Continue straight to a V-junction, keep right and continue along SP187 on a long, winding uphill road until you reach Residence Radice Verde. Dinner and a swim in the pool.
