Musical theme was not very original – “It keeps raining”. As it turned out later, this was the worst weather stage of the trip. On this day, the first worries and doubts appeared. Most clothes and shoes were wet. Unfortunately, the forecasts came true. It rained heavily from the morning, and it was also very windy. Despite my doubts and those of the hostess, I set off on the route. To make matters worse, on the narrow and pothole-filled road big trucks carrying wood kept passing me, additionally splashing and cooling me!!! And I, wrapped in foil (coat and garbage bags), was rushing along this special section, annoyed at having left the accommodation. The bag trick didn’t work. At first it was okay, but then the water got inside anyway and couldn’t flow out. I poured several glasses of water from my shoes after arriving in Komańcza. The next base became a room and later a whole floor in a wooden house with an older lady who smoked like a dragon (which I mentioned for quite a while afterwards :)). When I unwrapped myself from the plastic cocoon, I hung the wet clothes in the hostess’s room, who, despite it being July, was heating the tiled stove. I put on the last dry clothes and after lunch (meatballs) set off to admire Komańcza on foot. Two nice Orthodox churches and a church are the main attractions of this small town. Unfortunately I didn’t make it to the monastery where Cardinal Wyszyński was interned. After the walk I settled upstairs :) I spent the evening with krupnik, maps, guides and the TV. Suddenly, magic, wizardry or “something”. Outside the window lights illuminated the Orthodox church. For this moment, it was worth suffering. I stared at it, with small breaks, for about an hour.
