I set off tired at dawn.

First uphill and then I got lost on the descent.

I have to turn back because the road ends in a field.

There are also significant climbs on the way to Krynica.

A sip of water at the drinking hall, two portions in the bottle. What a magnesium boost I got! J.

Then a beautiful route along the Poprad towards Piwniczna.

A stop in Żegiestów by the river.

I cross the Poprad with a footbridge and for the first time during my journey, I am outside Poland.

I was afraid the traffic on the road would be heavier.

It wasn't bad, but another surprise awaited me, a climb with a slope of 12°.

About 2 km long.

When I finally climbed, my bottle (a gift from Andrzej D.) fell out during the wild descent.

I came back, but could not find it.

In Stará Ľubovňa, a break for a non-alcoholic Złoty Bażant (not good).

I continue towards the Pieniny and the Red Monastery.

It's good that there are "supports" in Slovakia that save me from getting soaked again.

Two such compulsory stops of about ½ hour each.

The Red Monastery disappoints me; I expected something more.

However, earlier the Pieniny from the Slovak side, despite the drizzle and clouds, look beautiful.

I pedal towards Niedzica. Just after the dam, I find a campsite.

Wet and without hot water, but what a VIEW of the lake and the castle.

A swim in the lake, food, beer, notes in the travel diary, and admiring the views.

A fairy tale, if only the sound of air hockey and another machine measuring hitting or kicking strength, which "shouted" - "I want your money" J, hadn't disturbed me.

That's how I spent the day of my 44th birthday.
