If the track analysis is correct, that's +1,475 meters of climbing, but also -1,420 m going down again. The outward trip is on asphalt, with many crossings, junctions, traffic lights, and side changes, contrasting with the return along the Elbe, which features a lot of uninterrupted riding. It's surprising how high the Elbe bank can be.
