Lacul Ciocul Paltinului does not appear on any map, not even on Google Maps. GPS position: 45,3811660, 26,1343520. A lake formed as a result of a massive landslide in the 70s, in the middle of the lake remained the vegetation from the mountain, trees that over time have broken left behind stumps. It has all the conditions to eventually transform into a bog. The lake has been populated with fish commonly found in Romania's lakes. If you have a fishing rod and some bread, you will have fun catching roach and crucian carp. It can be reached relatively easily from Bisca Chiojdului, following the Bisca forest road without any path marked with yellow triangle and blue cross signs. About 4 km from Bisca Chiojdului to the lake. The lake is on the left side of the road, you need to climb about 200 m from the main road to see it on a mountain slope surrounded by forests with its tranquility. An ideal place for recreation. On the south side of the lake, a few meters away, there is also a spring of drinking water, a spring that actually supplies the lake with fresh water.
