Lacul Manta A beautiful lake/bog located on a mountain ridge between the locality of Lera and Chiojdu. On a mountain ridge (Subcarpathians) at an altitude of 800 m is a lake named after the former landowners who had those pastures and forests. The easiest route is from Lera via the Finta ridge, about 7.5 km calculated from Casa cu Blazoane in Chiojdu. You can also get there from Chiojdu via Cernica and past Piatra Alba, which is about 4.8 km. Or from Poienitele at Schit heading upwards. Or from Lera along the former sheepfolds upwards through the forest, there once was a road. Or along the PIETRICEAUA ridge, starting from the La Tunuri area. Lacul Manta is an active bog, under the relatively solid surface layer the usual phenomena of a bog occur, a wetland area with reeds, ash and beech trees have grown, and there are some centuries-old beeches by the lake. The water is not very deep, maximum 1 meter in certain areas of the lake. In dry years it resembles more of a swamp because due to the drought the clear water eye shrinks significantly.
