4 Spittal an d. Drau- Villach

In this stage, cyclists ride for about 40 kilometers. For history and nature enthusiasts, the route offers numerous small surprises, including the archaeological site of the early Christian church of Molzbichl in the lower Drava Valley, the "Carantana" museum, and the local mountain of Villach: the Dobratsch, with the nature park of the same name. The thermal springs of Warmbad-Villach provide relaxation and rejuvenation for weary cyclists. In the summer of 2012, the new Kärnten Therme Warmbad-Villach, the most modern thermal baths in Austria, will be inaugurated. From Spittal to Villach, the Alpe Adria cycle path follows the route of the comfortable and well-signposted Drava cycle path ("Drauradweg"), which in this stage runs almost always along the river.
