Barby – Magdeburg – Tangermünde – Havelberg

Always along the Elbe. But only after I found the Elbe Cycle Route. The first thing I saw was Schönebeck, known to me as a manufacturer of explosives. Then always along the Elbe to Magdeburg along the river promenade. After crossing the river, I went under the motorway to the waterway junction to cycle a short stretch along the Mitteölland Canal. At the Hohenwarthe lock, I headed back towards the Elbe. At Rogätz, I turned left again along the Elbe. On the cycle path, I passed through some small villages to Tangermünde. Continuing along the cycle path, you reach Arneburg, where the path moves away a bit from the Elbe. I continued until just before Werben.
