If someone reads this, they might notice the strange statistical data of this day. I will explain why later.

In the morning, sunshine, but clouds thickened hour by hour. Despite the nonstop rain from Gołdap, the route was very picturesque among hills and lakes. Large poplar trees fallen along the road testify to a powerful storm that passed through here.

A warming rain break at a bus stop. Tradition! Another stop to try traditional kartacze. The thermometer showed 13 ºC there, brr! After all, I was at the Polish cold pole.

I rode increasingly cold and soaked. I often dreamed of a hot bath in the tub or at least a shower. I decided to finish the stage earlier than usual at some accommodation. Unfortunately, nothing like that was visible on the way.

I decided to get to Sejny and look there. Also a bust, but I was directed to the village of Giby to a camping site.

In Sejny, I did shopping and while securing the bike against theft, I reset my statistical data on the odometer for that day. I would have to trust Bikemap, especially as I unusually did not get lost.

Arriving at the place, the friendly owners agreed to my overnight stay in a cabin at the price of a tent.

At the campsite by Lake Gieret, I was practically alone.

The dream of a shower was fulfilled. Sometimes really not much is needed for happiness.

A nostalgic evening spent first with beer and talks with the hosts about my trip and the Bieszczady Mountains (close to them).

Later on a walk and in the cabin, accompanied by "Trójka" radio and songs of Amy Winehouse, who unfortunately died on this very day.

On the road, especially during such difficult days, various thoughts come to mind.

"Why suffer so much, when all this and maybe more can be seen more easily and quickly on TV and the internet?"

But that would be like licking a lollipop through its wrapper. To fully absorb everything I encounter on the way, I practically hardly use sunglasses.
