Boljuni is a hamlet of the village of Bjelojevići in the southwestern part of the municipality of Stolac, near Hutovo Blato. It houses a necropolis with 269 stećaks. By many aspects of the study of stećaks, it belongs to the most interesting necropolises. With 19 preserved inscriptions, it occupies the most significant position among necropolises in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The necropolis was influenced by two prominent artists, Grubač and Semorad. In the area of Boljun, members of the donjevlaÅ”kog tribe, Boljun, especially lived in the area of Bjelojević. The beginning of the necropolis dates back to the second half of the 14th century, the largest part of the stećaks is from the 15th century, and the younger stećaks belong to the 16th century.
