About this route
Beautiful loop route off the Rhine! The Volcano Route gives you a feel of the Pellenz region! Then the Schieferrad path with great tunnel passages and views of the Maifeld. Please pace yourself, as there's a short climb to Karmelenberg just after Ochtendung. Afterwards, it’s a fast descent through Kettig back to the Rhine! PS: The route is also good to ride in reverse, so the climbs are only at the beginning.
