Ridden clockwise it's the northern end of the Cat & Fiddle run, taking in the climb up to Cat & Fiddle from Macc, but then leaving the C&F route to head west after the high-speed run down Axe Edge to take in Gun Hill with Beat Lane as the finish climb.

Ridden in reverse its a bit lumpy before the fun at Axe Edge begins, after that its a matter of a high speed run down to Macc and a cross-country run home.
