Nach Schönau und zurück

The bike tour starts in Vienna along the Danube shoreline up to the OMV, where it crosses the area. The path then follows the Hubertusdamm through the floodplain area of the Donau-Auen National Park. In spring, numerous plant species bloom on the dam. Near Schönau, the bike path curves over the Schönauer Traverse. The narrow Schönauer riparian woodland strip is one of the most dynamic parts of the national park. From the outer Schönauer Traverse, there are impressive views of the Kühwörther water with its extensive reed beds. The route ends at the beer garden of the cyclists' meeting point, inviting a break. The return trip is along the same route.
