Schloss Orth nach Schloss Eckartsau

The route starts at Orth Castle. Here you will find the schlossORTH National Park Center with exhibitions as well as the natural experience area Schlossinsel. From here, it proceeds along the waterfront road to the Hubertus dam. Then it continues on the Danube Cycle Path over the dam. The path runs from Orth to Eckartsau on a long, straight stretch, bordered by large meadows and floodplain forest. At Eckartsau, the path then turns left uphill to the castle. There is a bike service station in the castle park, and the castle café with a shop invites visitors to linger. The extensive meadows around Eckartsau Castle are accessible to guests. You will also find a National Park information point and an exhibition there. The return trip follows paths through the hinterland of the National Park back to Orth.
