22.6. Tegernsee - Maurach

Stage 2: We wake up to the fresh morning Alpine air with views of mountains and lake. After a good and tasty breakfast, we set off on a relatively short stage that takes us over the Achen Pass into Austria and Tirol. The first 25 km we climb over 200 meters in altitude, with a steady ascent for most of the route, and steepest near the end. After a descent on a gravel road, we reach Austria and cycle through the Achen Valley towards Achensee. The cycle path is varied with asphalt and gravel sections. We continue along Achensee and finish in Maurach at the other end of the lake, which is the goal for the day. A varied stage with some climbs and descents. We experience a change in the landscape as we enter Tirol. Accommodation: Arthurs Hotel am Achensee
