San Marcos to Austin

This was a fine route to get from San Marcos to Austin. However, it was not a scenic or particularly interesting ride. One thing that was more interesting was riding through some old neighborhoods as we got into Austin. Post Road leaving San Marcos had just a little traffic and mostly had shoulder. South Old Stagecoach Road also had mostly good road shoulder and little traffic. After Kyle, there was good shoulder on Philomena Drive and Dacy Lane, which we were on almost all the way into Buda. Getting closer to Austin, we were on local Bike Route 31 pretty much all the way to the Texas Colorado River in the center of Austin.
