Runde durch den nördlichen Westerwald am Rande des Siegerlandes

Between Alsdorf and Grünebach, at the cemetery of Grünebach, the entrance begins first through fields, then into the forest. It steadily climbs, initially on good forest paths up to the Hüllbuche above Daaden. Caution when crossing the country road between Daaden and Herdorf. The Hüllbuche is ancient and a meeting point for hikers. But now we continue to Hohenseelbachskopf, a historic place. We follow the height path at the border to the southern Siegerland. When we reach the country road between Daaden and Lippe, we turn right and ride a few hundred meters on the country road before turning left into the old railway line, which takes us to the Platzrandstraße at the edge of the former Stegskopf training area. Near Friedewald, we have to cross a country road again and then, after a slight ascent, come to Langenbach. In good weather, you can see the Siebengebirge on the horizon from here, when you drive down from the small industrial area to Langenbach. In Langenbach, we cross the intersection and follow the signs to Weitefeld. Behind the village, a bike path begins that leads to Weitefeld. Through the newly designed center of Weitefeld, it passes through a residential area from the town into the forest. Do not follow the bike path signage but follow the designated GPS track. Through dense forest, we head towards Steineroth. Here we must follow the country road to the town center and then straight out of the town again towards Dauersberg. Passing the Orthen farm, we turn right and head towards Scheuerberg. As we approach the district of Bruche, we pass the cemetery. Now it’s just downhill. The Scheuerfelder Straße leads to the Brucher Ei (roundabout) into Burgstraße almost to the end, we turn into Kirchstraße through the underpass to the left into Bahnhofstraße (pedestrian street) to the city center. At the bus station, we take the overpass and pass on the other side of the tracks through the roundabout towards Gontermannstr. At the end of Gontermannstr., the forest begins again. We cross the Struthofspange and follow it behind to the starting point.
