21.6. Sarzeau

Back to the coast. And again the wind is blowing. It probably always blows here!

At the campsite reception, we get a good map, which is great for cycling around the area. Originally, we planned a bigger loop, but strong wind and the threat of rain encourage a shorter afternoon ride.

First, into the village to eat. The chef's salad contains plenty of different types of crabs! Yum! Then we cycle to the Suscinio castle, which dates back to the 14th century and is locally famous. We have a look from the outside - no entrance fee.

The bike routes are finally marked and correspond to the map we received. We cycle along village roads and forest paths through small villages and make a loop around the whole area. The roads are mostly in good condition, and only in a couple of places do we have to guess the route.
