Tiszaug

Main road 44 is only for the daring, and even then, mostly just on weekends. Between Szarvas and Békésszentandrás, as well as between Kunszentmárton and Cserkeszőlő, there are bike paths of varying quality. In Kunszentmárton, it is recommended to follow the old route of road 44. Between Cserkeszőlő and Tiszaug, the shoulder of road 44 is very bad, rutted and dangerous. On the other hand, the road towards Csépa is of European quality and has very little traffic. It runs through beautiful rolling countryside and well-kept villages. Tiszaug is my newest favorite place; I highly recommend it to everyone: oxbow lakes, parks, great pubs, the Tisza River, and friendly people.
