LF5 Vlaanderen Fietsroute (afgeleid)

Explore some major Flemish art cities by bike: Bruges, Ghent, and Antwerp! The LF 5 forms the northern branch of the Vlaanderen Fietsroute and takes you over a distance of 300 km from Damme, the historic book town, to Thorn, the 'White Town' on the Meuse riverbank. A large part of the route runs along traffic-free paths by rivers and canals, but it also winds along low-traffic roads through the forests and heathlands of the green Kempen. You will experience tourist highlights biking along the ramparts of the cultural city of Bruges and through the historic center of Ghent. Via connections to the LF 2 Stedenroute at the Rupelveer ferry in Schelle and the LF 51 Kempenroute in Vierseldijk, you can even cycle all the way to the Grote Markt in Antwerp. In Turnhout, you can explore the Nieuwe Kaai where water, city, and greenery meet.
