About this route
Stage 7 of TranSardinia rolls out from seaside Cagliari and heads inland to the hill town of Villasalto. Expect about 68 km with plenty of climbing (around 1,800 m) as you leave the coast for Sardinia’s highlands, topping out near 900 m. The ride mixes paved roads with lots of tracks and gravel, so wider tires help. Quiet backroads link long dirt sections. Finish in Villasalto’s quiet streets and recharge for the next stage.
