21.6. München to Tegernsee

Stage 1: We pick up the bikes in Munich🚲 and start the adventure cycling south along the Isar River. We leave Munich behind and encounter the Bavarian landscape and the Alps. We cycle on the "Munich - Venice cycle path" which we will follow all the way to Toblach. After about 10 km, we cross the Großhesseloher Bridge and continue along the Isar River to the picturesque village of Bad Tölz. We cycle through forested and open landscapes with steady and gentle climbs on nice cycle paths. We will see the silhouette of the Alps gradually approach step by step. From Bad Tölz, we arrive at Lake Tegernsee after about 18 km near Gmund and continue on the east side of the lake to the day's destination, the village of Tegernsee, where we treat ourselves to a well-deserved refreshment🍺 in fantastic surroundings. The stage requires some effort. A perfect start and warm-up for the rest of the trip. Accommodation: Aparthotel Fackler
