Cyclope Palencia Gravel - Etapa 7 - Frómista - Aguilar de Campoo

The last stage of Cyclope Gravel starts in Frómista, next to the Romanesque San Martín, and goes upstream along the Canal de Castilla, sharing the first kilometers with the Camino de Santiago.

We pedal between the banks of the Pisuerga and the canal, passing by the Lantadilla bridge, ancient docks, and the spectacular aqueduct of the canal, until we reach Herrera de Pisuerga, where we cross the San Andrés dam via a suspension bridge next to the Canal Interpretation Center.

From there, we head towards the source of the Canal in Alar del Rey, leaving behind the plain to venture into the Montaña Palentina. The tracks get steeper, the terrain becomes more technical, and we enter the magical environment of Las Tuerces, with its monumental rock formations.

The last kilometers take us back to the Pisuerga River, completing the circle in Aguilar de Campoo, where we are greeted by its gravel banks, its swans… and the satisfaction of having crossed all of Palencia along unforgettable paths.
