Durch die Moore um den Flughafen HH

From Poppenbüttel S-Bahn station, the route descends towards Hüsermoor and Hummelsee at the Hummelberg. Those who wish can take their first barbecue break there. Continuing through Raakmoor and the Langenhorn district, passing allotment gardens to the Krohnstiegtunnel. Just after the tunnel, sharply turn left, returning along the airport fence around Hamburg Airport with its international air traffic. Probably distracted from time to time, the eye should give its (un)divided attention to the winding path. The next 'heavenly break' is taken at the Himmelsschreiber Café, directly at the aircraft parking stands. Here also gathers the international community of plane spotters (= spot: to catch a glimpse). Refreshed, one pedals on through the airport district of Fuhlsbüttel. Crossing the large Alster bridge, one takes the direction of the very varied ALSTERWANDERWEG at the beer garden 'Zur Ratsmühle' and cycles until reaching the Grotenbleken junction after about 35 km, and back to Poppenbüttel S-Bahn station.
