1 Brenner - Brixen 55 km

Special notes on the route The route is mostly asphalted or has good surface quality. At Vahrner Lake before Brixen, there are shorter sections with poor surface quality to cycle. Overall, the route descends about 600 meters in elevation, but there are still some short climbs to overcome. Before Sterzing, you have to cycle for one kilometer on the Brenner road (please be careful of traffic). You continuously follow the official South Tyrolean cycle route towards Sterzing and Brixen. After Mittewald, the route may still be closed due to a landslide; in this case, please cycle on the Brenner road to Franzensfeste (about 3 km). ATTENTION: The cycle path from KM 47.7 is expected to be closed until May 2026. Please follow the pink detour from Aicha (KM 45) via Schabs and Neustift. ATTENTION: Currently, the cycle path from KM 54.3 is closed. Please follow the pink detour. Organisation The stage begins with a transfer by minibus or train to Brenner Ort. The type of transfer will be communicated to you in the tour map on site. For the train transfer, the following departure times for line S3 are available: 08:49, 09:49, 10:49; travel time approx. 40 minutes; tickets valid for persons and bicycles are provided with the tour map on site.
