The tour runs south to north along an old railway embankment through the flat Havelland into the Rhinluch. The Rhin forms many lakes along which we pedal into the 'Fontane town' of Neuruppin. A town that, after a fire, was rebuilt in the Neoclassical style on a grid pattern, with streets so long and so wide that no fire could cross them anymore. On foot you'd get lost there, but by bike it's actually quite manageable.
