Rundkurs Bahnhöfe und Lippefähre

The route starts at Friedrichsfeld station. Of course, you can also start at Wesel station. From Friedrichsfeld, you first ride along the Wesel-Datteln Canal. After the turning basin, you cross the canal. Through the Lippe meadows, you reach the 'Quertreiber' trek ferry. Note: the ferry must be operated by yourself. It only runs in summer and can carry at least 2 and a maximum of 6 people with bikes. A highlight of the tour. After leaving RWE street, a picturesque path follows through the Lippe floodplain. Passing a historic pumping station, you then reach Wesel station. The return trip to Friedrichsfeld is less pleasant, as you are forced to ride along federal highway 8 and the also heavily used Frankfurter street. If the train ticket is not too expensive, you can of course also return by train.
