Lamprechtshausen – Oberer Weilhartsforst – Burghausen – Tittmoning – Salzburg

19.09.2025 | VR Took the local train to Lamprechtshausen. Then rode the road bike through the Weilhartsforst to Burghausen and returned to Salzburg on the German side. For the section between Maxdorf and Werberg (approx. km 6–16, then entrance into the Oberen Weilhartsforst) I'll look for an alternative route, because these roads have moderate to heavy traffic. Through the Weilhartsforst there is a gravel road that is easily passable on a road bike (25 mm tires). On the German side the route returns to Salzburg on little-trafficked side roads and a designated cycle path – a real treat!
