01. Radrunde Allgäu - Die Runde in die schönsten Ecken.

Explore the impressive nature of the Allgäu over 450 kilometres. Discover the stories and faces of the regions. And don't just ride straight from A to B, but repeatedly connect the end of the route with its beginning. The extensive path network of the cycling circuit with uniform signage, its varied elevation profiles for every age, a dedicated e-bike region and many other quality features make the circuit a 4**** ADFC quality route. The circuit is suitable for every cyclist, because thanks to the 'axes' and the numerous connections to rail services it can be ridden individually. Axis I: The Iller-Radweg. The Iller-Radweg cuts the circuit, so to speak, vertically. Entry points are Illerbeuren in the north and Fischen in the south. Sometimes very close to the river, sometimes a little farther away, the route runs on easily rideable surfaces through smaller and larger towns, such as Sonthofen, Immenstadt and Kempten. Axis II: The Allgäu-Radweg. The Allgäu-Radweg cuts the circuit horizontally. Entry points are Marktoberdorf in the east and Isny in the west. The route crosses the Alpine foreland and delights with picturesque mountain views. Time and again there are smaller and larger climbs to overcome. The former Roman town of Kempten, today the metropolis of the Allgäu, becomes the central crossing point of the two axes Iller-Radweg and Allgäu-Radweg.
